Remember when Call Of Duty exploded, almost literally, onto the gaming scene? Back in the day when shooters reigned supreme, this Xbox 360/PS3 game electrified the gaming charts with it's stupendous sales numbers.
An image leaked on Reddit appeared to confirm the existence of the Call of Duty 4 Remaster. Activision has since confirmed it's existence. Activision says;
Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare sold a colossal 15.7 million copies by November 2013. Will, it's back. A full HD remaster of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will release along side Call of Duty Infinite Warfare in November.
The remastered title will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Looks like Call of Duty fans have two reasons to put some $$ aside for November this year when both Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered are scheduled to arrive.

This is where the COD craze started.
But then they started milking the franchise and it quickly got old…
Perhaps this remastered edition might bring back some of that former glory.
It'll be very interesting to play the multiplayer again, and see how it compares to the new COD.
I think I'll prefer the older one though.
I never got caught up on the CoD craze, Valkyria Chronicles was more my pace. Which is great since Valkyria Chronicles also has a PS4 remaster.
That VC remastered collection is exactly what I've been waiting for on another Sony flagship. Having the remaster on Steam as a double dip just didn't feel good enough 🙂
@TheHighlander. VC Remaster has me praying for some slowdown on my business so I can play it again… Still undecided on waiting for PS4K or just preordering the Uncharted 4 special edition 🙁
This is a franchise that to me does not need remasters. This feels like nothing more then a cash grab simply because they can.
Activision would *never* be part of a cash grab like that…would they? 😉
Still if it's fully upgraded with hi-def textures etc and hits 1080p60, it will be a substantial improvement over what went before.
If they remastered the PS1 WW2 CODs i'd buy those, especially being those were the ones i enjoyed.
Yeah i don't know what i was thinking Activision would never do a cash grab. To me this is like doing a remastered version of a sports game, why? They have a new release every year, i just don't see the point. 🙂
It's definitely to make money, but I look at this as them finally listening to the community. We've been asking for this for a few years now and I think they were just waiting for IWs turn in the cycle. Hopefully this isn't just the campaign, and if it has MP it better have the DLC maps with Broadcast.
boost the multiplayer count put in legit controls for the jets and other tanks and son on am in , excitet to play a remastered game of cod 4
This could be cool. This was the only Call of Duty I continued to play well after its release.
I wonder how many people actually want this…Modern Warfare is OLD by today's standards, shooter fans might be a little hesitant to dive back in. I know it's a remaster but I think it might actually have to be a full-on remake to matter.

Still had the best maps imo. I want it back sooooooo bad. I like Blops 3 but I much prefer my CoD with no sci-fi elements.
I wish they would remake Call of duty 2. Why I say that is because it was only on the computer and Xbox360.
Modern warfare should have vibration and trophys this time around.
I'm fond of the original MW so I like the added perk.
It'll be cool to see the PS3 to PS4 leap in quality with this one.

I think they may have brought me back as a customer. The first MW is a classic. Wonder if it'll have MP…
I enjoyed the sp and mp in COD: MW.. I got my own copy late/ like 4 years after release.. I got hacked when I was captain in mp.. Had to make an another account cause of that.
I will buy the crap out of this game!
If it has multiplayer I won't even care about the new CoD! The first MW was by far the best CoD and if it came back I'd put another 30 days into it.
