Ready for a real challenge?
Bethesda has announced that update 1.5 for the critically acclaimed Fallout 4 is now available on Steam and will come to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One some time next week.
Not only does this update provide support for the upcoming Far Harbor expansion, it also gives us the uber-hard Survival Mode, which was previously in beta testing. In other good news for console players, Bethesda confirmed that some PC mods are headed to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, starting with the latter system in May (PS4 gets 'em in June). Personally, I don't think Fallout 4 needs a Survival Mode but then again, I doubt I can be called "hardcore," anymore. 😉

To be fair Ben, Survival mode isn't so much a straight increase in difficulty as a few changes to the game's dynamics. Like hardcore mode in New Vegas. Too bad someone had the silly idea of restricting saving.
Awesome. i've been waiting for survival mode to come to console. i've bn watching Manyatruenerd's playthrough with envious eyes. Perfect for my second playthrough.
