It's one of our most anticipated games of 2016 and we can't wait to try out the beta!

Publisher Electronic Arts has announced that the closed beta test for Mirror's Edge Catalyst will kick off on April 22 and run for five days through April 26.

If you are selected for participation and you are a "Frontrunner," you will receive an email with your code on April 22. Those who aren't frontrunners might still get a code on the 23rd. This beta will let you attempt several of the game's main missions along with a few side missions, and you can sample a few of the Social Play features as well. Of course, just remember that this isn't a final product so don't pass judgment after playing.

The city of Glass beckons and to learn more about it, check out the new developer diary below. Catalyst is slated to land on May 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and don't forget to check out a recent gameplay video that highlights the combat and Faith's agile movement .

P.S. You will need a persistent online connection to participate in the closed beta.
