Tonight, Kobe Bryant plays his final basketball game.
Not coincidentally, it's the same day 2K Sports chose to announce this year's NBA 2K17 and specifically, the special "Legend Edition," which will place the Los Angeles Laker star in the limelight on the cover.
Fans of the 18-time All-Star will receive all sorts of Kobe-related content, both physical and digital. Check it out:

Obviously, if you opt to purchase digitally, you'll only have access to the digital goodies. As Bryant said in a statement:
"It's a great honor to partner with 2K on the NBA 2K17 Legend Edition. As I walk off the NBA court for the final time, it's exciting to know my fans can continue to celebrate my lifelong career as a Los Angeles Laker."
The Legend Edition will retail for $80. As for the regular standard edition, that'll be announced during the NBA 2K16 Road to the Finals pro gaming tournament in June. NBA 2K17 is slated to release in September for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, and here's hoping it's a step up from last year's mildly disappointing entry .

I can't believe he was still playing, coincidently the last sport anything I watched was their 2009 run in which ultimately they won.

I was planning to write this article myself, well you wrote it first. Anyway it's alright. ^_^
As a big Kobe fan, I'm a little emotional that today is the last game of Kobe. As everyone is saying, nobody beats Father Time. I hope that he plays his best game today. Good luck Kobe on your retired life!
I'll be getting this Legend Edition of NBA 2K17 on day 1! ^_^
Kobe will always be my favorite player. Been watching him every since I was a kid. With that said, father time came out of nowhere and stole his achilles. Lol
