This looks way cool.

If you're interested in highly atmospheric, unique, narrative-driven experiences, this is right up your alley.

As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , developer Infinitap Games is bringing Neverending Nightmares to PlayStation 4 and PC Vita during the 2nd quarter of this year. We'll get everything included in the original PC version along with "a host of new improvements."

Creative Director Matt Gilgenbach explains the title as a "very personal game" because it actually expresses the experiences he's suffered through due to his mental illness; he's plagued by OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and depression. As such, this interactive adventure is more about a deep probing of the dark corners of humanity:

"Neverending Nightmares is designed to explore the darkest and most negative emotions — fear, horror, anxiety, hopelessness, pain, and frustration. It isn’t a typical game where you are faced with challenges and can win. We worked really hard to make players feel trapped and helpless when playing the game. After one reaches all three endings, none feel like a happy resolution. They barely feel like a resolution at all because there really aren’t clean endings in life."

You play as Thomas, a weak young man with asthma who has a horrific nightmare. As it turns out, he's trapped in a series of nightmares and each one is more dangerous than the last. The goal is to escape and ultimately awake in reality, and the game boasts a "unique branching narrative" that will change depending on your choices. Plus, we get the beautiful art work from legendary artist Eduard Gorey and gorgeous audio courtesy of IGF-nominated composer Skyler McGlothlin.

Lastly, Neverending Nightmares will run at a smooth 1080p and 60 frames per second on PS4. It really looks like a tantalizing and extremely engaging little adventure; gotta try this one. Here's the PC launch trailer:

If I made a game based on my mental nightmare experiences you'd all hang yourselves.
