Got a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One you don't want anymore?
You might want to consider trading it in at your local GameStop location.
As the mega game retailer just announced , they will now give you $200 in-store credit for either machine in question; this promotion is currently running at GameStop stores throughout the U.S.
Considering these systems have a standard retail cost of $350, that's not a bad deal. It also means that if you're looking to trade one machine for the other (like, if you made a mistake and got Xbox One instead of PS4 and are finally ready to remedy that error), you can get the new console for just $150. And don't forget that your trade-in has to be in normal functioning order and you need all the attachments with which it came (cables, one controller, etc.).
Also, they'll give you cash but that will likely be a good deal lower than the $200 credit. No idea how long this particular promotion will last, so hop to it if you wish to take advantage!
Nah, not worth it. Specially if you bought it before the price drop. It would be better if the consoles were a couple years more into their life-cycle. They were paying 150 for their predecessors when I got my PS4 last year.
This is just another typically horrendous deal from GameStop, & that's why I'll buy from them(but only when the game hit my $20 used price-point, and I've never ever traded or sold anything what-so-ever to them).
I bet hardware exchanges for that store credit go in one direction more than the other.
If anyone is looking for a PS4 for $200, go to Gamestop and hangout in front of the store. When you see someone carrying a PS4 heading into the place, offer them $200 cash for it. Most people would rather have cash than store credit.
truth
True that, Tes!
I haven't been able to be in the right place at the right time for any console buys yet at GS, but I have been able to buy a few boxes of games & accessories right out of their greedy paws that way.
I also bought a Intellivision I about 24 it's games(most still in their original boxes) for $80 in front of a "retro" gaming shop, but I found the console was completely dead after hooking it up at home, so now it will be an expensive bunch of spare parts once I find another "working" one.
But thankfully, all those games still work on the other fully functional Intellivision II I also own, so I still got my money's worth).
Nah i'll keep my ps4 and Xbox 1 thanks though anyone wanna buy a slightly used Ps3 for 1.00. I have no use for it anymore lol.
1 dollar? sure.
I'll pay double…. $2. Try me World…
haha
