Ben-DutkaA "Star Wars" FPS? Oh, maybe it was inevitable.
According to a post in the NeoGAF forums , LucasArts is currently seeking a senior core engineer and a senior animator for a mystery project. The cool part is that it's supposedly coming to "current and future generation consoles and PC."
Considering we're nearing a crossover portion where games may release for current hardware as well as the new machines, this isn't a stretch. But Lucas fans might not realize that this game is a first-person shooter…which may or may not go over well with the die-hard followers. Of course, the job listings don't say anything about "Star Wars" but we can't keep seeing visions of Han Solo and his blaster running through the Death Star…
This could be the unannounced project developer Clint Hocking was working on before leaving LucasArts, but again, there's no way to tell. Wonder when they'll lift the lid…hopefully soon.
Give us Battlefront 3, Lucas Arts!!!

Yes please been waiting too long i played BF2 soo much disc got scratched and can't play anymore and since been waiting for next game cuz it was always in the works
Dark Forces was soooooooooo much fun back in the day.
Dark Forced was awesome! So it's not like there hasn't been a Star Wars FPS made before. And they've generally been pretty good.
I'll gladly buy another Dark Forces title if it were made. Few shooters, or games in general, kept me as entertained as the DF titles did back then. Finally being able to cut off body parts with the lightsaber in Jedi Outcast was more then enough to keep me coming back for more.
When I first played Jedi Knight: DF 2 on PC it was awesome. Online was sweet too except for the lag.
Force Run into Force Jump was great.
Haha. It's gonna be another swing and a miss for Star Wars I bet.
Lucas Arts used to be my favorite game company as a kid.

They made some of the best games I've ever played and while there current games are definitely good, its seems like they've passed there prime.

Well, you can just imagine a Star Wars FPS using the FrostByte 3 engine. All those lense flares… can you imagine attacking a Star Destroyer, or running down those corridors whilst blasting your phase gun off in the faces of all those Storm Troopers…

I wish I could like the first comment more than once. They can't avoid BF3 any longer, imagine what it could be like on the PS4 :|! I think all the fans have waited long enough, although as stated above there are other sequels which could excel (Republic Commando 2, KOTR3 anyone?!)We can only wait and hope!
