Another Copyright Extension For Deep Down, But So What?

So, what is this now? Its fourth extension?

Last summer, we learned that Capcom had filed a third extension for a PlayStation 4 exclusive that has been flirting with the term "vaporware" since it was originally announced nearly three years ago.

It was actually one of the very first titles ever revealed for Sony's latest home console, but it has proven to be a troubled project. It didn't help when the developers revealed their free-to-play plan , which didn't go over well with gamers. Then, they revealed they were taking the online RPG in a completely new direction …though we weren't sure of what that new direction was.

We still don't know but at least Capcom hasn't given up. According to Destructoid , the publisher has filed yet another copyright extension with the US Patent and Trademarks Office. What's it mean? Well, nothing yet, besides the fact that it still exists on paper.

Thanks, BikerSaint!

I remember the first demo of this game when it was shown when the PS4 was announced, and it was actually one of the cooler & best looking demos shown at the event, but… it was also pretty clear that it wasn't actual gameplay footage so as so often with these early demos it doesn't really say much.

Now it's starting to look more and more like the next The Last Guardian from Japan… if so, who knows maybe it'll show up some time on PS5 🙂
