Seems like every big game gets a beta test these days. And the highly anticipated new Mirror's Edge game, despite its focus on single-player, is no exception.

Electronic Arts and developer DICE have announced a closed beta for Mirror's Edge Catalyst , which will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via EA's digital distribution platform, Origin.

Now, there's no guarantee you'll get in (it's a closed test, after all) but if you wish to be in the running, go ahead and sign up here . No idea yet what exactly we'll be testing or even when it will begin, and there might be more ways of getting into the beta. But for now, we're satisfied with the knowledge that a beta is coming. And it's probably not too far off, as the final game is supposed to launch on May 24.

Previously, DICE confirmed that this new effort is "more of a reboot than anything else" and they also eliminated the gunplay , which was probably a good move.
