Admittedly, I'm not really into cosplay.
That being said, over the past few years, it's difficult to look past some of the most impressive cosplay presentations that have popped up online.
So, it might be interesting to ask: Which games do you think have prompted the most creative and awe-inspiring cosplay? Last year's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has certainly been a big one recently; developer CD Projekt Red even held an awesome cosplay contest . And everyone was drooling all over the Ciri cosplay done by Polish model Agnieszka Malocha . But let's not forget about some other heavy hitters from last year, like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain . Did you guys see this cosplay that featured a real diamond dog ? And of course, Quiet is getting lots of love .
Then you've got another 2015 hit, Fallout 4 , and the wildly creative cosplay this has prompted: Here's one for Nick Valentine and here's a really nice assortment . I'm biased so I'm going to say The Witcher 3 but what other cosplayers should receive a mention? And which games have really kicked off huge bursts of costume-centric imagination?
Whoever can fill it out properly, anybody in Tifa's original costume gets my vote and whatever else I can give her.
I never understood cosplay,you dress up as a character you like and you kinda sorta look like that character then what?
Thats it I guess, thats the fun of it.
Then you are photographed either by friends or a professional for a portfolio or facebook/instagram friends to fawn over, you can wander your favorite convention and compare with other costumists, strike epic poses, trade one liners, and get to be somebody other than yourself and more like your hero for a time.
Folks will also pay you sometimes to show up to an event so dressed especially if you have internet fame.
Never done it myself but that's what I gather.

It's like Halloween, but on another level of quality and devotion.
If you're good enough at it, you start a blog and use that, instagram, facebook, and youtube to generate enough regular traffic to do it for a living.
They sometimes have cos-play contests, although I don't have a clue to what the prizes/awards are.
This past Halloween, my friends (married couple) dressed up as Snake and Quiet from MGS5. They even bought most of their gear from a military surplus store.
Looked very cool!

The ones I've most often seen cosplay of is Borderland's Moxxy and Batman's Harley Quinn. They are *everywhere*.
