All I really needed to know is that this game comes to us courtesy of the developers who produced Terraria .

As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , Quadro Delta, 505 Games and Re-Logic are all teaming up to bring the PC indie hit Pixel Piracy to PlayStation 4.

We don't get a release date but here's hoping this "pirate sim" arrives on console soon. The upcoming version will feature all the PC content released to date, and the studios have worked together to improve the UI and ensure the "console controls are nailed." Check out the trailer below and for a bit of atmosphere:

"If you like pirates, this is the game for you. If you like the sound of recruiting a motley crew and sailing the seven seas in search of booty, other pirate crews to kill, chasing chickens, building your ship block by block, cleaning the poop deck, boarding enemy ships, then jump aboard."

And of course, if you're a fan of those awesome retro pixelated look, you're gonna love the Pixel Piracy presentation. Terraria had the same look and it remains one of the very best indie productions we've ever played, so…

Can't wait for this one. Terraria is gold for me, so I imagine this will be a kick for me as well.

The developers never finished the PC version. So it'll be interesting to see how this new version will turn out.
