Hellblade is one of the most intriguing and promising games of 2016, and thankfully, now we know it's launching this year.

Previously, UK studio Ninja Theory pegged 2016 as the estimated release window for the anticipated title and now, they've re-confirmed via Twitter .

After first announcing that Hellblade would launch simultaneously for PlayStation 4 and PC (it's not coming to Xbox One), the Heavenly Sword studio answered a direct question concerning release date:

Ninja Theory, the team that brought us great games like Heavenly Sword , Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and DmC: Devil May Cry , are working independently to deliver this ambitious action title. They'll be tackling elements of mental disease within a surreal, dream-like environment, and the one-on-one confrontations should be extremely intense.

Let's hope for a masterful result!

If this is one of the most promising of 2016 then I better adjust my excitement levels to the lowest possible setting.Theyve only gone downhill after Heavently sword which they should consider making a sequel to.
