Free is always good, plain and simple.

If you're a PlayStation Plus member, you might've seen an email from Sony promoting the upcoming free titles for January 2016.

If not, it has been posted up in the NeoGAF forums . As you can see, Plus peeps can snag the likes of Grim Fandango Remastered and Hardware Rivals for PlayStation 4. The email didn't include the free titles we can expect for PS3 and Vita but those should be unveiled soon. After all, the PlayStation Store will be updated again on January 5, and that's when the Plus freebies for the month should show up.

In the meantime, you can always grab the current free games on the Store; there's the great King's Quest: A Knight to Remember , for example, as well as Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon . Hey…just noticed those two games got the same review score here. Obviously, both are well worth playing, no? And I just spotted Gauntlet: Slayer Edition for free as well, so old-school arcade lovers should be in heaven.

Lastly, don't forget about the fourth and final week of the PSN Holiday Sale, which features several top-tier titles.

Nothing to write home about.

I played the demo for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon back in the days after thoroughly enjoying the regular Far Cry 3 and i must say I was very disappointed. The game was just too cheesy, corny and too futuristic for my taste.

Blood Dragon was designed to not be taken seriously. It's target audience was those who grew up watching 80's movies. What I played of it I found entertaining.
And funny is hard to do right in video games.

You must not have been born in '81. Blood Dragon was incredible.

Blood Dragon was made with a side order to make funny of itself.

It did…..& it was great!

Man. Sony's core is not happy with these freebies. Just go to the ps blog and read the comments for this news.
User after user is expressing discontent.
And no these guys aren't always complaining. They're usually positive.

All I ever see are complaints from the blog, not one positive comment from the hive mind that is the PlayStation blog. Then again, none of the blogs are positive worthy.

Positive comments from the gaming community are rare. It pretty much revolves around complaining because something isn't amazing all the time.

Aren't these the same as last month? This Free thing has become a major drag.
