Nobody seemed to get out of this holiday season unscathed.

There were reported issues with Microsoft's Xbox Live service , Steam suffered a terrible misstep , and Sony's PlayStation Network had a problem involving new user accounts .

Some time around Christmas Day, gamers were reporting that they couldn't set up new PSN accounts due to some validation issue on Sony's end. The company quickly said they would start looking into the issue and while nothing happens very quickly around the holidays, Sony has now confirmed that the glitch has been fixed:

For the record, it appears everything – Live, Steam, PSN – is running correctly now and there are no further incidents to report. Let's see if we can get through 2016 without a major problem, shall we?
