Ben-DutkaKingdom Hearts III is one of the most anticipated games of the new generation. We're finally getting it! Yay!
And now we've got a few more details, courtesy of producer Tetsuya Nomura and Polygon . Firstly, regarding the slightly overhauled visual style:
"Should we go for a more realistic look like in recent projects, or try something else? Along the way, we remembered that these Kingdom Hearts characters were originally paintbrush art from Disney productions, a texture that was one of our original aims, and that it was time to return to that. So [chief creative director Takeshi] Nozue went through a series of tests, and the results are the visuals that we refer to in the team as the Kingdom Shader. It may look like a pretty drastic change, but I see it as a rich evolution of everything we've shown you up to now."
More importantly, Nomura talked about the gameplay and combat. "The action's pretty frantic," he said. He also confirmed the return of three-person parties, with the addition of NPCs and other characters joining the fight in each individual world. The enemy AI is "more intricate" as well and we should be seeing an overall "new dynamic balance." Fans have been pining for a true Kingdom Hearts sequel for an entire generation, so the result had better be pretty darn special.
If it isn't, there's gonna be some really disappointed gamers out there.

Oh God, should he really be talking about this game? He already said that they announced it too early. I see FF Versus happening all over again, after some info this game will go quiet for 3-4 years since SE can't develop for sheet, especially when they still have tons of other projects to do first.
I'll start a riot.
In the interview he said we will hear a lot more about the game at TGS, or the Disney even in Japan in October.
If that doesn't happen, I'm going to wipe it from my memory.
It will most likely be out in 2015. They still haven't released kh2.5remix which I assume will arrive next year.
It's funny you'd say so because I'm not buying 1.5 hd remix because I have a feeling there'll be one with KH2 in the future.

Why bother buying 2.5HD when you're skipping 1.5? It seems kind of counter productive…
I'm still confused on whether or not the teaser we saw was only a concept or the expected graphics of the game.
I think it is the expected graphics.
I think it's the early concept of expected graphics. I'm sure the finished product will be much better than what was shown for obvious reasons. They pretty much just used KHII Twilight Town which proves they've only really worked on Sora's model and the base heartless with the area probably just from the HD remix version of KHII.
