Yeah, that sounds about right.
During Sony's PlayStation Experience event over the weekend, the world was given a glimpse of Final Fantasy VII Remake gameplay . But the news didn't end there.
They've just announced that the game won't release as a standard single product, but rather as a "multi-part series." The company didn't go into detail but obviously, this sounds like an episodic approach, perhaps similar to the Hitman plan , another Square Enix product ( Life is Strange was also episodic). For Hitman , players will pay the full price up front and then get the roll-outs later free of charge.
They say each part of the Remake will offer "its own unique experience" but we have no specifics right now. Well, if there's one way to ruin the cohesiveness and immersion of one of the most revered and epic RPGs of all time, this probably qualifies.
Man, you Square Enix guys are just top-shelf.
