It's really too bad Trophies didn't come along until multiplayer was basically a requirement for so many big-budget Platinums. I might've actually gotten one.
It's also too bad that they can't make some technological magic happen, so my ultimate save file for Final Fantasy VII on PlayStation would count. You know, retroactive Trophies…but the 18-year gap gets in the way, I guess.
At any rate, Exophase has posted the full list of Trophies for the PS4 version of the PC port of FFVII, previously revealed at last year's PlayStation Experience. Maybe it's indicative of the list we'll see when the Remake launches in 2038. The list is very doable and frankly, kinda short. I think I'd only need to find a way to get 99,999,999 gil, and I'm not sure how hard it would be to get 10,050 pints in the G-Bike arcade game in the Gold Saucer. My favorite game by far was the snowboard one.
What do you think? Plausible, right?

Hate that kind of trophy, it feels like a pointless objective. I still haven't platinumed XHD because I can't see any good reason to finish the sphere grid when I've already beat Penance.
I never played the ps1 or snes FF games so I'm waiting for this version of VII so I can finally see what all the talk is about.I'm actually looking foward more to this than the backstreet boys game that SE might release in my life time.

It will feel dated and look a little funny with its super-deformed map characters but stick with the first few hours and you'll be brought back in time to when heroes weren't musclemen in suits, gamers became personally invested in long, epic linear journeys that made us care deeply about the people and the quest due mostly to what it represents in our lives and the world today. That's what timeless games do, and why it is the one largest requested remake of all time.

Either way, not sure I can play this on PS4. I'll still play it every couple of years on PSP maybe… but I don't think it's a good use of my PS4 time anymore. It's 18 years old, and it hasn't aged well for a big screen tv.
Hence the enhanced resolution, that's why I'm cited aside from needing to play it again. Putting the PS1 version on a big HD screen is atrocious. I expect that won't be trouble this time. In the last battle Cloud had a special character model that looked incredible, I'd like to see that and others for the other characters in every fight.

Emerald Weapon can be beaten a number of ways; the easiest way is to have KotoR, of course, but you do need a Gold Chocobo for that. I think you can also do it with Cloud's Omnislash and triggering it as often as possible.
You definitely need the Underwater Materia so the 20 minute limit disappears, though. At least, I do.
Try the 7777 method, it's pretty easy. Breeding a Gold Chocobo isn't too hard, I didn't take too long to breed one. I got like 5 master magic materia in one play through yet I could never get omnislash.
Nothing better than an opportunity for Cloud to mime his own Omnislash! 😀
I always master Final Attack materia and Phoenix. Then, if that character dies, they revive themselves.
My flaw was that I couldn't put in the time to get my characters to level 99. I had all those things and the 7s help a lot but he always could just decide to kill us all in one hit no matter the buffs when we had around 8000 hps
Yeah, that could be a problem. Even at Lv. 99, you actually need a Mastered HP Plus Materia on every character in order for them to hit 9999 HP. Even then, I think a few fall shy of the max number.
However, it all fits together if you take the time to breed a Gold Chocobo and Master the KotoR Materia…with the amount of time and grinding that takes, you'll hit Lv. 99 no problem. 😉

hmm the trophies are kinda disappointing.
was hoping for gold chocobo,
all 3 master materia,
snowboard trophy,
maybe max out at least one stat (which would take a long time i guess)
get all blue materia
can't think of anything else atm but i'm sure there are other missed opportunities for interesting trophies.
No matter how hard I tried, I could never stop sucking at the Snowboarding game.
it was hard but I did well a handful of times. But I could never find the good stuff or the way out (within a decent amount of time) in that snowpile you land in after the snowboarding.
I totally got to be a master at the snowboarding game.
Trophy for Diamond Weapon but not for Ultimate Weapon?
