The open beta for Rainbow Six Siege was supposed to have started a few days ago.

But players immediately encountered issues and not long after, Ubisoft was forced to postpone the test .

The good news is that the developers have been offering updates as they perform maintenance on the beta via the Ubisoft forums . The bad news is that the open beta remains a little problematic and they'll have another update for you today at 10:30 a.m. PST. There are still some matchmaking issues and a variety of other snafus they have to work out, so be patient.

Now, the full game is still scheduled to launch on December 1. The team says this beta trouble won't affect that date; they say we should expect the cleanest launch possible once they're done fixing these problems. Well, that's really the purpose of a beta, is it not? It's just that usually, the last test isn't quite so close to the launch… Anyway, cross your fingers.
