When The Taken King expansion launched for Destiny , it came with a new raid: King's Fall.
Now, for most, it was pretty tough. But for the true hardcore veterans, they need a stiffer challenge and so, it's developer Bungie to the rescue.
As the team just revealed , King's Fall will soon get a lot harder thanks to new Challenge Modes. These Challenges will task players with taking down raid bosses "in a very specific manner" and Bungie has it all planned out:
"Early in December, one of the King's Fall bosses will offer their challenge each week. You'll see which boss when you select the Raid in the Director. It will display next to a skull, just like one of our Nightfall modifiers. They work on both normal and hard mode, and offer rewards to match. Each boss's challenge requires that you defeat them in a very specific manner. How, exactly? We're going to leave that up to you to discover (but apologies in advance to those that run the single-pool strat for Golgoroth). Good luck, Guardians!"
This is a first for raids, and there's no word on whether or not Bungie will add Challenges for previous raids. Maybe if it's popular enough…? The Taken King didn't just deliver a new raid and a bunch of other additions, it also gave fans an entirely new battle arena in the form of the Dreadnaught.
