Valkyria: Azure Revolution Revealed With Teaser Trailer

Valkyria Chronicles remains a gigantic cult classic among the PlayStation brethren.

And while the sequel went exclusively to the PSP (for some bizarre reason), the long-awaited true sequel to the original classic has been revealed: Valkyria: Azure Revolution for PlayStation 4. Check out the debut teaser trailer below.

We don't have any concrete gameplay details, but we do know the setting is the Rus Empire, where an industrial revolution has generated widespread growth. The mineral that sparked the revolution is called Ragnite, which obviously plays a key role in the narrative. At any rate, the growth of the Rus Empire has brought it to the edge of Jutland, a small country that will now fight for "independence and freedom."

The game is being developed by Media Vision, the same team that handled Valkyria Chronicles 3 for PSP. Azure Revolution is slated to launch in Japan some time next year, and a demo will be included with Valkyria Chronicles Remaster , which hits Japanese store shelves on February 10. That Remaster will feature overhauled visuals, Trophy support, and a bevy of downloadable content.

No word on whether or not either title will come west.

Oh man we better get this. I've been waiting so long. And I would definitely buy the VC remaster with trophy support. As if I need another reason to completely destroy that game AGAIN!!!

Yay Media Vision, my old friends from Wild ARMs days are back again. Now with another Valkyria Chronciles, and the orginal on PS4 sounds great.

I will buy that again no problem. There is also an anime that covers the first game story.

I think it will be released over here in Europe too as Japan sales alone would not cover the cost I think.

Winter 2016?
As in December 2016 or Jan-March 2016?

Back at the teaser, is it just me or does the guy in black looks like a Valkyria as well?
