For a while there, it looked like three of next year's most promising games would all land on the exact same day: February 23, 2016.
Mirror's Edge: Catalyst , Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Far Cry Primal were all set for that day. But then EA pushed back Catalyst and now, Square Enix has been forced to delay the new Deus Ex adventure.
As first announced on the game's Twitter page , Mankind Divided has been pushed out six months; the new launch date is August 23, 2016:
"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a huge project. We won't compromise on quality."
The post directs you to the official website , where you'll find an explanation behind the delay. The team says they know "expectations are extremely high" and they now see that the current product requires more "tuning, iterations and refinement" in order to meet those expectations.
Well, it does suck, but the result should be a very high-quality game, right? With an extra six months, we expect nothing less. For the record, Mirror's Edge: Catalyst was only pushed back three months; it's set to release in May.

Take all the time you want, I expect nothing but the best from Deus Ex.
Alright, So it's Uncharted 4 over the spring, No Man's Sky over the summer and now we have a Deus Ex waiting for us in the fall. This year has had some stiff competition, but it looks like 2016 will right up there as well.
Fine by me. I was going to hate feeling like I had to rush 'Firewatch' to play 'Mankind Divided', then rush 'Mankind Divided' to play 'Hitman.' Now I'll have plenty of time, and 'Human Revolution' really did right by the 'Deus Ex' name, so I hope they take their time to ensure 'Mankind Divided' does the same.
Ooo just before my birthday 🙂
guess im the only one who didnt like this game.
I got bored of the last one and left but it was cool for awhile.
Sounds about right.
That's quite the leap.
damn:(
was hoping to play all march..
