Jason lives!
The Kickstarter campaign for Friday the 13th: The Game appropriately ended on Friday, November 13, and the result was quite positive.
As you can see , the campaign raised $823,704 courtesy of 12,218 backers, which means the project met its initial $700,000 funding target. Some stretch goals were met, including a new Mirror Kill ($725,000), a 3D Head Crush Kill ($750,000), and the Rip Your Heart Out Kill ($775,000). But we won't get a single-player campaign, as the team needed basically double the funds ($1.625 million).
The game is now in full development at Gun Media and Illfonic, and they do have the support of franchise creator Sean Cunningham. As we don't get the campaign, it'll strictly be a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer adventure. Friday the 13th: The Game is tentatively scheduled to land on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in October 2016.
By the way, the top two video game Kickstarter campaigns ever were Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night ($4.5 million) and of course, Shenmue 3 (over $5.6 million).

No single player campaign! No thanks..
I'm still disappointed that it's not getting singleplayer, but I still supported it despite the fact that I hate online only games.
They haven't given exact details yet, but there is going to be extended fundraising on something called slacker backer, which they have dubbed slasher backer in their case.
^^^this!
The campaign should have been the first thing in their minds. This will just be some mindless crappy multiplayer game.
Exactly! That's why I'm not even interested in Battlefront. I would have got this day 1 if it had a campaign mode. Oh how i miss games like Jedi Academy..
i almost supported this, guess ill just have to rent it
