Call of Duty is selling like crazy. No surprise there.
Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops III generated over $550 million in worldwide revenue in its first three days at market, making it the "biggest entertainment launch of the year."
This is impressive but bear in mind that the last installment in the sub-series, Black Ops II , managed to pull in $500 million in just 24 hours. On the flip side, the first three days for Black Ops III outpaced the last two franchise entries, Advanced Warfare and Ghosts . The publisher added that this year's effort set a new record for "engagement" per player, as Black Ops III users are spending more time with the game than any CoD before it. Between November 6 and 8, players logged an immense 75 million hours online.
Lastly, that $550 million makes Black Ops III "bigger than any game, any movie, or any entertainment launch this year." Yes, we've definitely heard this litany before. CoD remains huge.

No surprise here.
Guilty as charged for buying this game. Only because it offers split screen co-op which I wish other fps games did *cough FarCry*.
i think blops2 made more bc when people finished mw3, they were kind of over that whole arc so they wanted something new (yes, i know nobody plays for campaign, but i actually play it before i touch mp)
i was disappointed when i realized blops3 story didnt connect the series, or maybe it did and i missed the punch line (maybe the whole "black ops" team was under one bigger umbrella?) anyways, i like this game, i also like aw, so the last 2 cod entries are A okay in my book. now to see whats next and i hope they dont continue ghosts.
next up: battlefront
Been watching lots of streams of BO3. Game looks solid.
I'm probably going to pick it up on a Black Friday deal…
