After 17 long years, Blizzard finally has a brand new franchise and guess what? It was just recently confirmed for consoles.
During Blizzard's BlizzCon opening ceremony, they announced that the brand new Overwatch IP is coming to both consoles and PC in spring 2016. All versions will launch on the same day, too.
You can check out the game's freshly launched website , where you'll see the standard edition of the game will retail for $40 on PC. On the other hand, the Origins Edition – the only one coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One – will go for $60. Furthermore, Blizzard announced three new characters for the anticipated game along with a new trailer (see it below).
Here are the characters:
Genji: "A cybernetic ninja, is an expert assassin capable of extraordinary feats of agility, including reflecting enemy attacks with his blade."
D.Va: "A former pro-gaming superstar who pilots an experimental military mech in defense of her home country."
Mei: "Travels the globe applying her scientific expertise to protect the natural world; in battle, her arsenal of climate-manipulating technology has the power to put the opposition on ice."

While the art direction is solid, why do the characters look like something out of Disney's Infinity toys?
Anyway, it's Blizzard so I'm sure it's awesome.
What the hell is up with that graphic?
Blizzard, a huge game company, can do way better than that.
Game has a crazy amount of special effects and is way more demanding than it seems. The more cartoony character models probably help keeps things stable, it can get crazy hectic.
What you mean , they look awesome to me in action on the streams i saw .
Blizzard is a PC developer first and foremost, and they have always designed their games to be extremely scalable. It often means their games' prettier aspects come in the form of effects that your PC may or may not be able to run.
I do love alot of blizzard games so will see how this game pans out.
