Sorry, no shocking amazing surprise for PlayStation 4 and PC users this week.

We don't yet have an official launch date for the anticipated uber-ambitious open-galaxy effort from Hello Games, No Man's Sky . However, there have been rumors circulating that the game would "stealth release" this week. Today, October 27, to be precise.

Yeah, well, that isn't going to happen. Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray shut down that rumor on Twitter :

Now, Sony's press briefing for the annual Paris Games Week event is slated to begin at 10 a.m. PDT today, so perhaps Hello Games will announce a finalized release date then. But the title itself certainly won't magically appear for download. No Man's Sky is officially scheduled to release some time next year for PS4 and PC. It's supposed to be a ginormous adventure , and was lately featured on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

I didn't know it was also coming to PC at all. Still was hoping the rumor was true though.
