Over 9 million people participated in the Star Wars: Battlefront beta. Were you one of them?

And if you were involved, did your experience change your mind? If you were planning on a purchase, are you now rethinking the idea? Or, if you really had little intention of buying the game, are you now convinced you want it?

I'm just wondering what sort of effect this beta test had on the gaming community. There are times when a beta is either so good or so bad that I think publishers can lose or gain lots of customers. Now, I know "Star Wars" fans are probably already on the bandwagon and aren't about to pass this one up, regardless of what they saw in the beta. Besides, I think most people understand that it was indeed a test and not the final product. Not only will the final game be tighter and more reliable but it will also have a lot more content .

But without its own in-game chat system and the very unbalanced Assault Walker mode , I wonder if some gamers are currently on the Battlefront fence. Some sources are complaining about the ease and accessibility, as the title is obviously very mainstream. This might turn off a few consumers, I suppose. It'll also be interesting to see if the Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta had an impact on that AAA production, and ultimately, how it stacks up against Battlefront .

What say you?

Haha. Nope. Its not anything I plan on dropping 60$ for. Fallout 4 is going to be all the FPS I need. I went into Battlefront with an open mind too, and had fun for the first hour but that quickly turned into boredom.

I'm not sure. Some of my mates have gone Yeah still Deffo getting it. I got to level cap 5 in the same night. After that I never went back on the beta. It bored me.

I couldn't fly the ships and after a few seconds of realising you were in one it felt a bit meh to me.

Also came the announcement that the season pass is about £50. So yeah I'm on the fence.

I planned on getting it before the beta and still plan on getting it after. It was a fun game for when you want to casually shoot some ****.

By the way the Assault Walker mode was actually pretty well balanced, the majority of the testers just never figured out how to play it. As long as you got the objective up twice you almost couldn't lose as a couple squads firing their ion shot layed waste to the AT-AT. The AT-ST did need a buff as far as its hp goes, they were pretty much pointless as is. A handful of positions on the field just need to be better fortified and that would balance it out nicely.

It seems a lot of people didn't like that they died a lot, well its Star Wars! Unless you're a Jedi expect to die quite often, you are nothing more then cannon fodder or a pretty backdrop at best, lol.

I think the game is excellent, but i'm unsure whether i want to drop 70 bucks on it. It's a good game sure, but i don't think it's as good as the previous battlefront entries. There are many things i'd change in it personally. I hate to say it but it should be more like battlefield. I miss having vehicles on the ground that you enter to go fly, i miss stealing the enemies vehicles. And quite frankly i want iron sites. I also felt after comparing it to the films, the levels didnt feel as "open" for lack of a better term.

I went into it seeing no content and thinking it would be like the past battlefront entries. Boy was I dissapointed… I went into the beta with guaranteed getting it and now I'm actually not even sure if I will get it when it's bargain bin.

If anything, the Beta actually made a case to buy the game. I was on the fence with it, but after playing the game several times, I am sold.

Christmas will be Battlefront time!

I had a lot of fun playing and I did notice some balance issue but I went in knowing it was just the Beta. Getting it.

I honestly did not feel the assault walker mission was unbalanced. First time I played as a Rebel our team won. So, with a good team my first time out, I could see what our goal was. After that, when losing became a regular thing as a rebel, I noticed it was because no one knew what to do. I mean, you've got what… 20 people on your team? I'd go to where you need to hold a small base to get the Y wing's called in, and WAY too often, it'd be just me trying to accomplish the uplink while everyone else just ran around shooting.

However, without in-game chat, it's awfully hard to communicate that to your team.

It seemed unbalanced because people didn't know what they were supposed to do.

As for me, the beta convinced me it's a must buy. It was super awesome.
