The Witcher 3 Hearts Of Stone Expansion Gets Launch Trailer

We're only a week away from the first expansion pack for the critically acclaimed CD Projekt Red open-world RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt .

Now, the team has released the launch trailer for Hearts of Stone, which sets up the story events of this new piece of content.

Protagonist Geralt is dealing with the immortal bandit captain, Olgierd von Everec and of course, difficulty ensues. Geralt must also face new and powerful monsters and as is the case with the main storyline, player choice will have an impact on the outcome. The developers say Hearts of Stone adds 10 hours of gameplay overall, along with a "unique romance."

The setting includes No Man's Land and Oxenfurt, where quests will be assigned by the mysterious Man of Glass, who we first met at the start of the main story. Here's part of the expansion's official description:

"Step again into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer, this time hired to defeat a ruthless bandit captain, Olgierd von Everec, a man who possesses the power of immortality.

The expansion lets you choose your own path through an experience that includes recruiting a crew of break-in artists, spending a night partying with a ghost, and outsmarting the most bizarre creatures Geralt has ever faced."

Hearts of Stone will be ready to go on October 16 and the second expansion, Blood and Wine, is set for April 2016. They're part of the $25 Expansion Pass, if you're interested.
