Time to let video games shine on late-night TV.
Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray recently appeared on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert," where he showed off the anticipated and wildly ambitious new IP, No Man's Sky .
They chat about the massive size and scope of the game, at which point Colbert asks: "Do you have any worries that the game might get boring after visiting the first trillion planets?" We do get a new nugget of information, in that if you're the first to discover a creature on any of the planets, you get to name it. Colbert suggest "Colbertasaurus" and "Molebert."
Perhaps fittingly, Colbert says Murray has taken over the role of God from actor Morgan Freeman, who of course played God in the film, "Bruce Almighty." Check out the full clip below, and don't forget that while No Man's Sky doesn't yet have a launch date, it's supposed to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC at some point in 2016.
Why is the launch date still a secret ?
I'm glad their not putting a date on it so they can feel less pressure while working on it. I would rather wait to get a good game sometime in the future, rather then get a bad one on closer specific date(if that makes sense).
Still looks to be one of the most interesting games so far this gen. And i love how they kept pulling further and further out showing that they are not bs'ing about the size, unlike many other games.
Now i'm just waiting for the complainers to start whining about how long the game is and that they don't have the time.
The size of this game is unbelievable. I may end up buying it, but only if there's more to it than just collecting resources to make it to the center of the universe.
