Evidence Of A U.S. PS4 Price Drop?

Last month during the Tokyo Game Conference, Sony announced a PlayStation 4 price cut for Japan .

Not long after, Microsoft boss Phil Spencer said he expects Sony to cut the price of the system in the U.S. as well , presumably for the holiday season.

Now, have we seen the first indication that Spencer might be right? As spotted by GameSpot , it seems Target has updated its Video Games hub and that's where we find a $349 PS4 system. The retailer is also running a limited-time promotion where they're giving away a $50 gift card with the purchase of certain PS4 bundles. The wording in the image in question does hint at a permanent price drop but it's also using the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection bundle. Perhaps it only refers to that package…? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Previously, we ran a poll asking the community if they thought PS4's price would indeed fall this holiday season, and the results were clear .

With so many great games this year there's no excuse to purchase a PS4 this holiday season if you don't have one.
