EA Finally Reveals Exact Dates For Battlefront Beta

We know you've been waiting patiently…or not so patiently, as the case may be.

But Electronic Arts has finally announced the exact dates for the anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront beta test. This open beta will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and run between October 8 and 12.

The beta will let you sample the 40-player Walker Assault Mode, a Survival mission and a new Drop Zone mode. You can also check out the Companion experience at the game's website during the beta period. One aspect of this is called Base Command; it's a card game that lets players earn in-game credits that can then be used to unlock weapons and Star Cards in the full game.

However, it's important to note that all gameplay progress will not carry forward into the final product. And of course, you'll run into some issues, which is expected in a beta. Star Wars: Battlefront will be ready to go on November 17 and chances are, this beta test will be invaluable for developer DICE.
