The next episode in the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. "education" video series for Fallout 4 has arrived.

This one highlights Perception in a post-apocalyptic world and it follows on the heels of last week's Strength trailer .

The Perception video focuses on the game's Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (VATS), which lets players pinpoint weakness spots on their enemies. Obviously, the more "perceptive" you are, the better you'll perform with VATS. This system was in place in Fallout 3 but Bethesda has said the new system will be greatly improved. On that score, they enlisted the help of Doom developer id Software , which was probably a good plan.

Perception can also keep you safe during "morally ambiguous" moments as well, so make sure to be as observant as possible at all times. The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series will continue next week, as the team works their way through the rest of the lineup: Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck.

Fallout 4 launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 10.
