New Resident Evil-Themed Competitive Shooter Set For PS4

Let's just hope it's better than Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City .

During Sony's PlayStation press conference at the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom revealed Biohazard: Umbrella Corps or, as it will probably be known in the West, Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps .

It's a new competitive shooter set in the iconic RE universe although strangely, neither the "Biohazard" nor "Resident Evil" brands show up in the debut trailer. The game celebrates the 20th anniversary of the legendary horror franchise, and this video shows off firefights in both first- and third-person perspectives, and there's even a peek at a hook-blade.

Various character classes are also visible, as are cover mechanics. The game is expected to release in 2016 only for PlayStation 4 and PC.
