It's an interesting and undoubtedly emotional take on war: The child's perspective.
Developer 11 Bit Studios has announced This War of Mine: The Little Ones , a unique adventure that launches for PlayStation 4 on January 29, 2016.
This is about wartime survival in the eyes of a youngster; it's based on the award-winning "This War of Mine" and puts you in charge of a group of adults and children. They're in the midst of hell and they have to survive in the besieged city. There's a lack of food and medicine and danger is a constant threat, but you still have to remember that in fact, kids are still kids. They're going to laugh and cry and they'll even want to play, so you have to factor that in to your very difficult decisions.
The kids require guidance and protection but at the same time, you need to survive. You will have control over your shelter, which is basically a hideout that you can craft and fortify. Throughout it all, you'll always be asking yourself: "What's best for everyone?"
It's definitely a sentimental and complex situation, the likes of which we don't normally see in video games. Check it out:

Damn! This looks like one of those games that could sucker punch ya right in the feelers!
My word, the subject material was serious enough without adding kids, but props to 11-bit for doing it. Should probably have a warning on it for parents before playing!
The first game was done really well. I hope this one expands on the storytelling aspect a bit more. Now that kids will be involved, the decisions made during in-game choices may be even harder to make.
