We all know that DICE's Battlefield 4 will be the focal point of their E3 presentation. That's a given.
However, the studio is doing a wee bit of teasing just before E3 begins next week. Studio vice president and general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson has said that DICE won't just be a one-tricky pony at the upcoming event:
"Our excellent team is hard at work with Battlefield 4, of course, but we also have a couple of surprises up our sleeve."
There have been more than a few Mirror's Edge 2 rumors floating around over the past few months, so could one of those surprises be the long-awaited sequel…? We've already seen some retailer evidence that a follow-up effort is coming, and EA has said many times that they don't intend to abandon the IP. It did manage to sell upwards of 1 million copies when it launched back in 2008, and that was with a much lower installed user base for the PS3 and 360.
A next-gen Mirror's Edge would be awesome .
