A new world for the upcoming game and an impressive number for the series.

During Disney's D23 Expo over the weekend, Square Enix offered up several pieces of Kingdom Hearts information for the fans.

First, they confirmed that the franchise on the whole has surpassed 21 million units sold, which isn't anything to sneeze at. Secondly, they unveiled a brand new world for Kingdom Hearts III : It's based on the recent animated Disney film, Big Hero 6. I haven't seen it but I imagine that if you want to appeal to a younger demographic, you can't just stick with classic movies from the '80s and '90s, right?

Thirdly and lastly, the developers announced that the villain in KHIII uses the powers of darkness to manipulate the Baymax body that was left behind in the portal. So, the old Baymax body becomes a dark, heartless Baymax, which I suppose is logical. Me, I just play these games for the wonderful, and often nostalgic, atmosphere.
