Microsoft's Xbox has owned the US video game market in terms of hardware sales. Sony wins in most every other region on earth, but Xbox often has a stranglehold on US consumers.
However, there's no denying that Microsoft bungled the Xbox One unveiling pretty badly, and we wanted to know if that could have a long-lasting impact. In our recent poll, we asked if such a blunder was big enough to allow Sony's PlayStation 4 to actually outsell the new Xbox in this country. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the majority of those who voted said it could – and perhaps will – happen.
Of course, we still have to get through E3 next week. Microsoft could still have one hell of a show and win back a lot of gamers. They've still got plenty of time before the new hardware launch this fall, so MS should be able to rebuild the dike. If they don't, though, and Sony continues to prove that they have the ultimate gaming machine, well…who knows what could happen? This week, we're a little worried that so many people have seemingly forgotten about Capcom's Remember Me .
What are your expectations?
