Strategy/RPG fans have October 6 circled on their calendars. That's when Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance will drop for PlayStation 4.
And for even more information, check out the latest PlayStation Blog post that outlines several new features.
First up is the Curry Shop, a new facility on the base that lets you create different types of curries (duh). These curries offer your allies temporary bonuses that last for the duration of one battle; most curries have positive effects but some are poisonous, so watch yourself. Then there's the new Netherworld Research Squad: They can unlock new worlds to visit, locate rare items and even gain experience for your squad members.
The new Alchemist feature lets you actually create items while you're off fighting. And if you need those items to become stronger, use Innocents…yeah, the Innocent Shop has 'em and you can also breed new Innocents at the Innocent Farm. If this sounds somewhat twisted, please remember that we're talking about Disgaea here. It's supposed to be dark and bizarre.
Oh, and NIS America is planning no fewer than 5 batches of DLC, in which you'll encounter characters from Disgaea 3 , Disgaea 4 , Disgaea D2 and even La Pucelle Tactics . Think that's enough content for a game that already has a truckload of depth?
