Street Fighter V Gets Vega, Both Clawed And…De-Clawed

You'll recognize the name but when you see the trailer, you might be surprised.

Capcom has announced the latest addition to the expanding Street Fighter V roster: Vega.

The Spanish claw-wielding ninja now dons a shirt and while he remains as fast and agile as ever, he will have the option of actually sheathing that claw. When he does so, he gains access to other moves, including a command grab. As the developer said:

"Knowing when to toggle between the two styles will be the key to success, and it also allows for new combo possibilities."

Furthermore, if an opponent knocks the claw from Vega's possession, Vega can't get it back for that round. This means you should really try to master both the clawed and de-clawed Vega if you wish to beat the majority of your opponents.

Street Fighter V is currently scheduled to launch in spring 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PC. Maybe one of these days, they'll try to bring back the beta, which had to be postponed due to crippling server issues.
