Here's another reason to pick up NBA 2K16 this fall.

One of the game's new modes has been revealed; it's called 2K Pro-Am and it lets you create a team and then take it online, where you can participate in 5-on-5 matches.

This is basically a multiplayer extension of the existing MyPlayer Mode. Now, in addition to being able to generate your own player from scratch, you can build a team from scratch. You can even choose the logo, jersey and arena, so use your imagination! Want to recreate the good ol' days of the Seattle SuperSonics? Feel free!

The game will allow for up to 40 players playing at the same time, with 4 games taking place simultaneously in a huge gym. And don't forget that this is "NBA-style basketball," in that there will be legit features like fouls and timeouts. Instant matchmaking will make this feature that much more accessible.

NBA 2K16 launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 29.
