Don't have nearly enough space on your standard 500GB PlayStation 4 hard drive? Aren't interested in switching out the HDD yourself?

Well, maybe you're up for paying a premium for one of GameStop's Supercharged PS4s .

As spotted by DualShockers , these systems are from the retailer's "premium refurbished" lineup and they're "supercharged" because they come with a 2 terabyte hard drive built in. The cost is $479.99, though, which means you're paying $120 for that hard drive and the simple installation. You can find some 2TB HDDs for about $100 so maybe this isn't really worth it for most. Then again, maybe some aren't even aware of the current going rates for hard drives.

Besides, let's not forget the "refurbished" part. That will always cause me to hesitate, no matter what they're offering. And this doesn't seem like much of a deal to me in the first place.

The price wouldn't seem so bad if the machines were refurbished by Sony rather than GS. Then again, Sony doesn't offer 2tb PS4 in their SKUs either.

You'd be surprised by the amount of people who have no idea how any of this works, Ben.

After deleting a couple save data and games from my hard drive I am sure that I will have at least 350GB in my hard drive.

Don't play the game or don't plan to? Delete it. Quite simple.

If you have the game on disc then yeah it's usually a pretty quick install if you want to play it again, but it's not that simple if you downloaded the game. And since digital is becoming more and more popular, systems with larger hard drives make sense.

Nah, I've now downloaded 90% of my PS4 library and I've deleted and reinstalled 75% of those. It's of little issue. If you know you want to play a game soon set it and forget it. I've also noticed the reinstall is a lot quicker since your not downloading all the game data at once as when first purchased.

Uh Bigrailer don't assume everyone has the same internet as you it takes me around 36hrs to download some games. Not everyone has amazing internet.

yeah that does sound overpriced cos you can get desktop 2TB HDD's for like under 100nzd which is probably like 80usd or less. so as per usualy gamestop is trying to rip everyone off.

happy gaming

PS4's can't use desktop hardrives you have to get a 2.5" laptopdrive which is a decent amount more than the comparable desktop drive.
But yeah this is still overpriced for a refurbished PS4.

I bought a 1tb hard drive for my ps4 and ps3. Wasn't hard to swap out and only cost $50 each. They're definitely trying to take advantage of people that aren't more aware of this stuff. I mean I do see a lot of moms and dads in there totally unaware of certain things so the GS employee only has to tell them, "oh you're looking to get a PS4 for your kid. Well we have this one it's got a bigger HD in it and it's only $___"
