It was arguably the most common complaint and the biggest problem concerning Deus Ex: Human Revolution : The boss fights.

While the rest of the game let you play as you pleased, the boss encounters didn't allow for a stealth approach, which many found irritating.

So naturally, fans want to know how Eidos Montreal will approach the boss fights in the upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided . Thankfully, in a recent OXM interview , gameplay director Patrick Fortier has eased our concerns:

"That was the main thing that was missing from the boss fights [in Human Revolution]. Thematically, I think they were interesting, but certain players found a challenge there that wasn't really catered to them.

There are ways to stealth them, there are ways to beat them in combat and there are conversations that you can have that maybe give you a different means of dealing with the situation altogether."

It also seems clear they're developing these boss fights in-house this time, which certainly helps. The new Deus Ex sees the return of protagonist Adam Jensen two years after the events of Human Revolution , and the tension between augmented humans and non-augmented humans has reached a fever pitch.

The anticipated follow-up is due out next year. In the meantime, if you want to see 25 minutes of awesome gameplay , feel free.
