For a while, gamers were waiting on that one anticipated title that would offer countless hours of entertainment.

Many say it took a while for this generation to really get rolling (and some say it hasn't started rolling yet), but if you disagree, which is the game that pulled you fully and completely into the new generation? Which is the one title that you spent a ridiculous amount of time with and didn't regret a second of it?

Even though it's hardly the longest game out there, I think it might be the PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne for a lot of people. It totally enveloped a great many (including several people I know, who just love it to pieces) and right now, they're already proclaiming it Game of the Year 2015. It's just one of those titles that isn't like any other game on the market, and its atmosphere and inherent challenge can really hook certain types of gamers.

I wonder if for others it's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . It's just so wildly massive and in some ways, wildly addicting. I certainly can't stop playing it, that's for sure, and it's the first game this generation that really "got" me. I doubt any upcoming production on the 2015 list has the same potential to keep me entranced for so long (although I guess Assassin's Creed Syndicate has an outside shot, as does Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain ).

So, which game is it for you?
