Well, that's definitely going to put a damper on development.
Dead Island 2 has already been pushed into 2016 and now, publisher Deep Silver has announced another piece of distressing news: The developer, Yager, is gone.
It seems the Spec Ops: The Line developer wasn't performing up to snuff, or perhaps there was simply a major disagreement between the two companies that led to a falling out. Said Deep Silver in a statement:
"With Dead Island 2, Deep Silver has always been dedicated to delivering the sequel that Dead Island fans deserve. After careful consideration, today we announce the decision to part ways with development partner Yager.
We will continue working towards bringing our vision of Dead Island 2 to life, and we will share further information at a later stage."
No idea which team Deep Silver wants to get to finish this game. Any ideas or recommendations? Dead Island 2 was originally revealed during E3 2014; you may recall that bad-ass debut trailer . High hopes in jeopardy?
