Another week, another set of confirmed songs for the upcoming Rock Band 4 .
This time around, we get classics like Aerosmith's "Toys in the Attic," The Cure's "Friday I'm In Love," and Ozzy Osbourne's "Miracle Man." It's a highly recognizable group of tracks, that's for sure.
There are a few more modern selections as well; here's the list of this week's newest confirmed songs:
We still don't know quite as much about this game as we do about Guitar Hero Live but we imagine more info is just around the corner. It'll be a music throwdown this holiday season; which one do you think will emerge victorious?
Related Game(s): Rock Band 4
I've been a Rock Band fan more than a Guitar Hero fan (Harmonix always does the best for rhythm games, their Guitar Hero games seemed better to me). That being said, I'll try and put this as unbiased as possible.
Rock Band should crush them this holiday season. Guitar Hero is alienating it's fan base by making absolutely nothing backwards compatible, and completely reworking the the guitar controller. The gameplay is going to be different, which isn't a bad thing, but it will turn off some of the long time fans. That isn't too say it won't bring new ones in though. It dropped all the other instruments as well, which might not be liked by some people.
Rock Band, on the other hand, is the same exact gameplay that people liked and mostly want. It let's you use the old peripherals, as well as the new ones just being updated versions of the same thing. They said around 95% of the old DLC will work with the new game (which I had a ton of DLC on those older games), and if you bought it, it's staying purchased.
All that being said, Guitar Hero has a way better on disc soundtrack so far (obviously my opinion), whereas Rock Band seems to be trying to mix in a lot of different stuff as usual.
While I'll be keeping an eye on both games, neither one has a very enticing track list for me.
Out of the 24 Rock Band songs so far I only like Korn's Never Never and the Dream Theatre song. Of Guitar Hero's 75 tracks there are still only 3 or 4 decent ones, one being Thunderkiss 65 which was already on a lot of the older music games and is White Zombie's most overrated song other than Black Sunshine.
I still have my old Warbeast, but I'd have to wait for a big price drop or some more good dlc songs when I would never play 95% of what's included.
Yes! Finally Dream Theater getting some love! And what a great song to pick too.
theres some good songs in there that i could get into for sure. like Paramore â "Still Into You" that would definately be really cool.
happy gaming
