Of course, it's difficult to make such a prediction now but it's always fun to guess.
And we've already seen several legitimate Game of the Year contenders already. So, in our latest poll, we wanted to know which title you think will land the illustrious award come the end of 2015.
In a very close race, the winner is the anticipated open-world RPG, Fallout 4 . Another epic sandbox RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt , was a close second, and just a few notches behind that was Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain . Perhaps strangely, our highest-rated game of the year so far, Batman: Arkham Knight , lagged behind, although Bloodborne put in a solid showing, coming in fourth.
Speaking of the new Batman , what do you think of it? Is it indeed one of the year's very best, as we said in our review? Or are you a bit more lukewarm about the production? Let us know.
Related Game(s): Fallout 4
Fallout will be a great game but Game of the year? Very unlikely.
I voted for MGS5 but if Bloodborne wins I wouldn't be angry at all.
Are you serious? I would be absolutely shocked if it didn't win.
Oblivion Game of the Year.
Fallout 3 Game of the Year.
Skyrim Game of the Year.
Fallout 3 deserves a place on the top ten games of the decade even.
I am very serious. I don't see any repeats in that list of yours. For the most part those games you mentioned were revolutionary just like Demons Souls a couple years ago.
They were all gotys across the board their respective years. That's his point.

yeah tbh its gunna be a tough year for GOTY tougher than alot of other years cos there is some pretty big hitters coming that have been along time coming you'd almost need like a 2 ro 3 or 4 way tie for first cos theres gunna be some big games gunning for it this year
happy gaming
Like I wrote in another article Batman is great at times but really tedious and feels like a freaking chore at other times. My obsessive compulsion won't let me quit.
I try to vote Bloodborne for like 100 times, but i realise we can only vote once, dammit…
My bet is also on MGSV. It would be a shame if Kojima doesn't get it. It seems they went all-in with this game, hope all the hard work will show in September! Can't wait.
I've never seen a more intense match for the throne, assuming both MGSV and Fallout 4 deliver on their expectation.
My guess goes to MGSV.
As for Batman I'd say it's a very worthwhile sequel that made improvements to past Rocksteady entries in every way other than bosses.
While I like it more than Witcher it hasn't surpassed my experience with Bloodborne.
Currently I'm 70% through the main story and 49% through the whole of Batman.
Edit: I also have no idea how anyone with an objective mind could feel right about rating Batman a 7. A clump of critics popped up and shot it down.
I wouldn't mind so much if Gamespot wasn't in that clump. Unfortunately their opinion is weighted heavier on metacritic. I would like nothing more than to see Kevin Van Ord quit or go somewhere else. I rarely agree with the guy and he too often talks around specifics and hammers on subjective things too heavily. My problem is that he's too persuasive in writing but when putting his sentiments to the test in play they just don't match up to my experiences.

I also saw an article listed at gamespot titled "why we rated Batman a 7"
I didn't read it but when a separate article has to supplement the written review to further explain your position, to the ire of fans no doubt, your review failed.
