PlayStation Plus members get free games every month. But you already knew that, didn't you?
Sony has announced the freebies for July, which as usual include PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita.
Perhaps the highlight this month is the bizarre yet crazy fun Rocket League , which is essentially a bigger and better version of Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars . This one is available to PS4 owners. But PS3 owners really shouldn't overlook Rain , one of the most artistically accomplished video games of the previous generation.
Here's the list; all of these are available for free as of July 7:
PlayStation 4
PlayStation 3
PlayStation Vita
Rain looks really good but a bit disappointed we didn't get a single AAA game for this month.
When PS now is forced to have to play online Sony no longer has to try as hard for your money here. This used to be the defacto reason to have PS Now.
These days it's just an appreciable side.
We got Drive Club I guess… but I share the same sentiment, beyond Rain I couldn't care less about the other titles.
Hehe yea Drive Club's big demo is a plus. In that game's case it feels more like them keeping their end of the promise they made before the PS4 launched. Back when PS Plus usually offered big name AAA titles.
Strangely I feel I may not have purchased Drive Club had I tried the demo first. But I'm really glad I did purchase it, especially as the months went on. I can't say I enjoyed its gameplay more than GRID2 but I do really like it and the graphics are stellar.
Driveclub is el cheapo now anyway might as well buy it. It's a great game. I need a new wheel to work with it though before I invest much time. I'm a bad racer so Gran Turismo isn't gonna do it for me.
Was hoping for Killzone as it was kne of the first PS4 games
For me i was hoping for Knack.

Geometry Wars is the most appealing for me here. I wouldn't mind finally trying Rain I suppose.

Everyone!
I've started a car club! You get a brand new car for FREE each year, just pay the monthly fee. Just return the car if you leave the club.
Some call this a rental but I call it "free" cause it sounds better.

Absolutely this! Well said Beam.
Reminds me of the Team America tune, Freedom isn't Free, it belongs to you and me. And if you don't put in your buck o'five who will?
Ok, I just had that tune in my head. Your original point still stands mate.

I wonder if Sony will eventually follow MS's lead. MS lets you keep the license to play a game from their free Games with Gold service even if you let your membership expire.
Edit: so where were you Beam when I was throwing fits about this point back when PS Plus was new? Back before my brainwashing.

Oh yeah well I started a dead hooker club, you have to kill your first one but the rest are free as long as you pay hush money. If you don't pay we resurrect the dead hookers as zombies and they eat your face.
Oh my god look at all that garbage this month. There goes my hopes.
yayyyyyy Rocket League.
I've been waiting for a long time for a reason to restart my Plus membership, looks like I'll keep waiting even longer…
Sadly it really seems like Plus had gone completely down the drain since they decided to start charging people to play online with the PS4 and using that as the main reason to get Plus 🙁
I never thought I'd say this, but at this point MS Live Gold even looks like a better value than Plus, at least with Live Gold you get to keep your games. Now with my Plus membership inactive I have nothing to show for years of membership.
