Back in 2008, Psyonix delivered Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars to the PSN.
It was a game similar to soccer, but the players were actually cars. You'd race toward the ball and try to knock it into your opponent's goal; it was a nifty idea. Now, Psyonix is back with Rocket League , which is the same concept but greatly enhanced.
As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , the new effort will be ready to go on July 7, and Twisted Metal icon Sweet Tooth will be part of the roster! They also confirm that the game will support PS4/PC cross-play (one of the few titles in existence to do that), and they'll be showing off Rocket League at E3 this month.
With 8-player online craziness, this could be one of the most unique and addictive little games of 2015. Check out the new video:
