Lords Of The Fallen 2 Set For 2017

Lords of the Fallen was a challenging, entertaining game.

And even though it had a few rough spots, we're convinced the developer can improve with the sequel.

That sequel has now been confirmed and it has a tentative 2017 launch window. Developer CI Games will tackle this project by themselves; Deck 13 helped with the original title. However, CI Games will be "working with a lot of partners," which is probably a good idea.

Here's the big question: If you played the first game, what do you want to see fixed in the sequel? What additions and improvements do you want to see? And did you enjoy the first game enough to warrant a purchase of the sequel?

Let me make my own character.

Make the gameplay smoother and faster.

Make it more difficult.

Character customization as said, more content, specifically optional side content and areas, and some things need reworked.

There should be a weapon upgrade system. The weapons later on in the first game are just significantly better, but I'd love to be able to upgrade early weapons to keep them relevant. Same goes for the armor.

The class specific magic needs to be rebalanced. Sorcerers (or whatever the game called it) was way too overpowered compared to the other classes. That class actually made the game seem too easy by end game. I would love to see more magic per class, or even a few alternate classes. I think they should definitely keep the separate classes though, that was one of the few things that really separated it from Dark Souls.

I'd love for there to be some form of multiplayer (coming out with a game so similar to Dark Souls without it made it feel incomplete). Maybe a full coop system, and some form of PvP that's different than the invasions on Dark Souls.

Lastly, the gauntlet needs to either be vastly improved, or removed altogether. I hardly used it outside of a very few early situations.
