After Warner Bros. and Rocksteady revealed the $40 Season Pass for Batman: Arkham Knight , some gamers got a little peeved.

Many claimed the DLC Pass was simply too expensive considering the lack of details. They just weren't especially forthcoming on what you'd get for your extra money.

However, Warner Bros. has now responded to the backlash, and they've revealed what fans can expect from the Season Pass. As cited by GameSpot :

"We’ve heard from our community that you want more information on what we’ll be delivering in the Season Pass. While we aren’t ready to unveil every aspect of the content we’ll be developing, we would like to share more detail now to give you a better sense of the scope of the Season Pass."

And here's what's included in the Season Pass. Batgirl is coming!

Batgirl: A Matter of Family: An all new prequel story expansion in an entirely new location where you play as Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series – check out the first render of Batgirl.

The Season of Infamy : Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features.

Gotham City Stories: Play as Batman’s key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks: Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman’s 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile’s specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track.

Crimefighter Challenge Maps: Engage in a series of new challenge maps utilizing the unique play styles of Batman and his allies.

Character Skins: A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman.

Feel better about spending your forty bucks now? Batman: Arkham Knight will launch on June 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Did they lower the price? Last time it said $50. But either way I'm a huge fan of this trilogy, and being the loyalist that I am, I still would have paid for it. Mainly because this is the last game in the series. I mean WB is still a company but they haven't gone as far as Activision or EA.

Sounds like an entirely new games worth of content. Dunno why its not all on the disk in the first place. The skins are one thing, cutting out the batmobile racing thing is another. Its a new feature that should have 100% of its related content, not some and then pay for more.

Batgirl sounds cool though. I just hope shes OP and is better than the male characters so Anita can't bomb the game.

see but then they cant release a game of the year version with it all on disk for more money later on. they have done it every time with the batman games. it will happen again with this one.

We don't know the file size of the standalone game is going to be. Steam requires a minimum of 45 and a recommended 55, which may not be too far off for the console version.
