MLB 15: The Show Reacts Realistically To Baltimore Riots

Due to the violent protests that erupted in rioting in Baltimore, several home games for the Orioles had to be postponed. But one game was played in a closed stadium.

Baltimore's game against the Chicago White Sox was played in an empty stadium, which was an unfortunate first in Major League Baseball history.

But when a simulator strives to be authentic, it has to step up. That's why, according to Pastapadre , this lack of attendees was recreated in MLB 15: The Show . If you chose to play the April 29 game on the schedule, the entire 45,000-seat Camden Yards stadium is empty. The rest of the game remains unchanged.

Hardly what you want to see but hey, it's realistic.

Now that's cool and funny.

Although I don't get the fuzz over the death of one man.

It's not about the death of 'one man'. According to FBI data, police officers have shot and killed, on average, 2 black men per week, every week, since 2007. Black people are tired of being murdered by the people who are supposed to be protecting them, especially their kids, like 12 year old Tamir Rice who was playing in a park by himself when a cruiser pulled up within five feet and an officer got out and immediately shot him for no reason. Or the man in South Carolina who was gunned down by a police officer who then planted his taser on the victim, claiming the 'suspect' stole it from him. This was all captured on video by another civilian. This kind of crap happens disturbingly often.

Also, the police literally baited the school kids who 'started' the riot into it. Do a Google search for "how the Baltimore riots really started" and you'll find out that students were planning a protest at the Mondamwin Mall after school. Police showed up at the school and buses in full riot gear, shut down all transportation, and detained every student in the area without cause.

Oh yeah, the Michael Brown issue last year too.
But has any officers involved ever get charged with murder?

The officer who shot the man in South Carolina was fired and charged with murder, and the man who shot Tamir Rice most likely will be, but in general it doesn't happen often because officers who kill people in the line of duty are investigated by other cops, who have obvious reasons to protect their own, and district attorneys almost never ask for indictments, because they're reliant on the police to make their cases. It's an incredibly messed up system that shields bad cops from the justice system unless there is overwhelming evidence (like footage of the shooting).

Those are all minor drops in the bucket, man. This has decades of anger and buildup. The US as a whole (I know this is a blanket statement that doesn't apply to everyone, but it's still so obviously true) is so incredibly passively racist… Not nearly as bad as some countries, but definite change is needed.

It also doesn't help that US police officers are paid pennies. Not difficult to breed corrupt behavior when you pay next to nothing.

Bio is, unfortunately in this case, very correct.

Stop rioting and be more civilized please…

The black community is being systematically murdered by law enforcement. The kids who were simply going to protest this latest murder (which the Baltimore PD is trying to claim was a result of the man breaking his own spine on purpose while in custody, something medical experts have said is impossible), were unlawfully detained by police in full riot gear for no reason.

If you don't see how this can lead to a collective boiling point, I'm not sure what to tell you. Act civilized? Why don't the police act civilized and stop shooting black people multiple times every week?

The students were acting civilized, people have the right to peaceful assembly, which this was until the police showed up looking for a fight.

So my request to you would be stop being ignorant and educate yourself before commenting on a serious issue please.
